Urban Birdsong

Urban Birdsong addresses the disparity of native birdsong in Auckland’s Central Business District (CBD). While introduced species dominate the city, this imbalance distances urban dwellers from their cultural connection to native birds. This project uses interaction and soundscape design to reintroduce native birdsong into the CBD through a pop-up soundscape and companion app.
